Chia Seed Pudding
An all time favourite of mine is definetly chia seed pudding. If you haven’t tried it yet, you will fall in love! This is an easy, healthy recipe that you or your children will enjoy. This recipe is gluten free and dairy free. If you would like to use regular milk, you can do that as well.
Mason Jar(optional, could use a bowl or glass if you don’t have one)
Cup of almond milk
3-4 tablespoons of chia seeds. (The amount of chia seeds really depends on your preference. More seeds, the more pudding like it will become)
Honey/Stevia/Agave/Xylitol(Optional, use as much as your tastebuds like)
Fresh fruit or nuts for toppings.
Put a cup of your milk of choice into the mason jar.
Add 3-4 tablespoons of chia seeds.
Add sweetener if you would like.
Put the jar in the fridge overnight. You can wait as little as a few hours, or as long as a couple days. The longer it soaks the more gel like it will become. I like overnight just fine.
Check on it if you would like and shake it up. This is what I do as it can stick to the bottom of the jar.
Chia seeds soak up any liquid they are added to and expand in weight. This is what makes the gel, pudding like texture.
Top with fruit of your choice/nuts ect.
You can really use any liquid you would like. This is a very versatile recipe. I made a mango smoothie once and added chia seeds to it and it was so yummy!
